Who is responsible for your information

What we collect

When you place an order

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your delivery address
• What you ordered and the amount paid

When you create an account or leave a review

• Your display name and, if you upload one, your profile photo
• Your email address and a securely hashed version of your password — we never store the password itself
• The text and star rating of any review you post

Automatically, when you visit

• Your IP address, browser type and which pages you view
• How long you spend on the site

We use this last group to see how the site is being used, to keep it working, and to protect it from abuse.

Why we use it

• To fulfil your order — bake it, ship it, and contact you about it
• To provide customer service — answer questions and resolve problems
• To run the site — keep your cart and account working, display reviews
• To protect the business — detect fraud and abuse
• To meet legal obligations — keep tax and sales records

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we never have.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that make the shop work, and only with what they need:

• Stripe and PayPal — to process your payment
• Netlify — to host the website
• Shipping couriers — to deliver your parcel
• Email delivery services — to send order notifications

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not run advertising trackers and does not use third-party marketing cookies.

We do use your browser's local storage on your own device to remember practical things: what's in your shopping bag, whether you're signed in, your display name and profile photo, and your saved delivery details. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us except as part of an order you choose to place.

You can clear it at any time through your browser's "clear browsing data" settings. Doing so will empty your bag and sign you out.

How long we keep it

• Order records: retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally several years).
• Account details and reviews: kept until you ask us to remove them.
• Visit data: kept only briefly, for security and analytics.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your account, your reviews, or your information
• Stop sending you marketing messages

Just email lozabeats@gmail.com and we'll take care of it. We may need to verify who you are first, and we may have to keep certain order records for legal reasons even after a deletion request.

If you're a California resident, you have these rights under the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Because we don't sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of.

Children

This site isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption across the whole site, hash passwords rather than storing them, and hand all payment processing to PCI-compliant providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
